E-Mechanic

Job description

Installation. Testing. Solving. With your experience as an electrician, you can do that like no other. No experience? No problem. At VDL Bus & Coach we like to take the time to internally train enthusiastic candidates with a technical education.

What will you do?

As an e-mechanic at VDL Bus Valkenswaard, you contribute to the development of vehicles that are fully adapted to the wishes of our customers. This means that every bus looks different. This is possible because, as an electrician, you:

Install customer-specific systems such as payment or navigation systems;
Faultlessly install the high-voltage powertrains of our electric buses;
Test the software behind our control systems;
Adjust motor drives of various types and manufacturers according to instructions;
Quickly detect and repair faults or error messages in electrical systems.

This is what we expect from you:

As an e-mechanic, it is important that you have technical insight, perseverance and an eagerness to learn. We would like to see you work independently, but also ask for the knowledge and skills of your colleagues when necessary. Furthermore, we ask for:

An MTS (technical secondary school) diploma in electrical engineering or MBO (secondary vocational education) level 4 electrical engineering diploma (TSO/A2 electricity or HBO5 for Belgian colleagues);
Do you only hold a basic diploma from a technical education? Then there are opportunities for internal training;
Command of the Dutch, German or English language;
A NEN 9140 certificate 'Working on electric vehicles' or willing to obtain one;
Work experience in electrical engineering.

What do we offer?

As an e-mechanic at VDL Bus Valkenswaard, in addition to a challenging position in a nice working environment, you will receive the following:

A gross monthly salary up to €3,492 (scale 7);
On top of that 8.33% holiday allowance, travel expenses and profit sharing;
Day shifts from 7:00-15:45;
25 holidays and 13 ADV (reduction in working hours) days;
Prospect of a permanent contract after successful completion of the probationary period;
