International supervisor
Job description:
You will be responsible for installing complete turnkey projects for poultry and pig farms throughout the world. After arriving on site, your first step will be to meet the project manager and team. Next, you will inspect the project site to establish the condition of the building, etc. and make sure the measurements on the relevant drawings are correct. You will then check that everyone has the right tools and knows how the installation is to be carried out. You will supervise and guide the team and explain everything to them. At the end of the working day, you will update the report and documentation. You will also report any problems or deviations to the project managers at VDL Agrotech. Once installation is complete, you will be responsible for the handover of the project as a whole. Depending on the size of the project, you may be assisted in this phase by project engineers from VDL Agrotech. Your duties will be to:
- manage and coordinate the team on site;
- oversee the installation, maintenance and operational processes;
- ensure compliance with safety and quality standards;
- resolve/ technical issues and implement improvements;
- report to management on installation progress and performance;
- collaborate with local and international partners to achieve the operational goals.
This is what your working day could soon look like:
You wake up at your hotel and drive to the project site. The morning doesn’t start off as you had expected: you had planned to work alongside the team, but the local contractor has the wrong tools, the water pressure is too low and the electrician has got his days mixed up. But you use your creativity to get everything sorted out and the rest of the day runs smoothly.
You’re happy to see how one of your local colleagues has grown over the past few days. Full of pride, he shows you some of his workmanship. Cultural differences had resulted in a minor discussion between the two of you earlier in the day; but both of you have already put it behind you.
In the evening, you sit down to a delicious local dinner - a little later than planned. You’re enjoying a view that you haven't seen before. You look back with satisfaction on a productive day with the team!

Are you someone who likes to travel (approximately 70% of your working hours) and enjoys working in an international environment? The successful candidate will also have the following profile:

- Excellent organisational skills;
- An independent, proactive approach and the ability to work well under pressure;

What we have to offer:
