System Dynamics Architect
Job information
As a system dynamics architect you are responsible for the setup and creation of a technical specification leading to a consistent system design that meets the performance and functional requirements of our customer. You will lead a team providing an optimal dynamic behavior based on the set specifications. You do this in close cooperation with colleagues from other disciplines based on in depth understanding of the analysis and design. You will provide hands on support, take responsibility and judge and report on the detailed calculations, simulations and design decisions during the development process. Furthermore you are responsible for:
- Defining requirements (modules/systems): Defining dynamic requirements for modules/systems based on performance specifications.
- Defining requirements (analysis): Defining requirements for analyses (analytical or experimental) to be performed to make dynamic performance prediction/validation.
- Performing analysis: Performing necessary calculations/tests and interpreting implications of results adequately for dynamic performance prediction/validation.
- Driving design improvements: Clearly communicating evidence-backed results in simplified manner to stakeholders from other technical and non-technical domains. Steering design changes with a practical mindset to meet/improve dynamic performance of systems.
- Knowledge development: Proactively contributing to organization’s dynamics competence development program.
Your profile
As an experienced system architect you have a good understanding of machine dynamics. You are also highly experienced in analysis and testing to understand the dynamics of vibration sensitive machines. You will also bring the following:
- University master’s degree with a mechanical/mechatronics background & a minimum of 3-7 years experience on vibration sensitive systems or PhD with aforementioned specialization/experience with some years of experience.
- Topics such as dynamic substructuring, multibody dynamics, vibration isolation, passive/active damping, modal analysis & vibrometry are familiar to you.
- Demonstrated history of experience with FEM (ANSYS, COMSOL, Nastran, etc), CAD (NX, Solidworks, etc.) and computational (MATLAB, Python, Simulink, etc.) tools.
- Experience in independently managing complex analysis while working independently or in a team.
- You learn quickly and are analytical, critical and think practically.
