Design, problem solving and versatility.
I have a diverse and varied job as a Printed Circuit Board Designer, Library Manager, key user of PCB Tooling and PCB Competence Owner. During PCB design and maintenance of electronic circuit boards, you have to consider many scientific details. You are involved in a number of complex designs simultaneously. Switching between projects can be challenging and time intensive. Therefore, it is important to be able to plan well. I am known on the team for not missing a deadline. Besides time management, it is important to deliver a good quality product. You must have a problem-solving and hands-on mentality.
For about two years I have been solving electronics challenges and supporting internal and external colleagues to deliver a high-quality product. I enjoy this even more because we work in the high-tech industry, this makes designing and maintaining Printed Circuit Board Assembly even more interesting. I have been working in the high-tech industry since the beginning of my career and I have no plans to ever work in any other industry. I have enough room within VDL ETG T&D to develop myself. I get more involved in teamwork and help more with consultancy than design. While doing this, I am improving my soft skills and planning.
The highlight of my career is becoming the lead PCB designer at VDL ETG T&D. Enthusiastically, I took the opportunity to become a key user and competency owner. Working in a larger company with a different structure than I am used to, I consider a highlight in my career. This is a new step that offers opportunities to grow as a professional.
You can expect multidisciplinary tasks in a multicultural environment. You will have a lot of freedom to explore new areas and tasks within your expertise. In addition, you must be well motivated and have passion for your work.
