Senior Group Leader – Supervisory Control Technology
Job mission
Guide a team of 20-35 mechatronic engineers to integrate complex systems, verify design requirements, and validate solutions that impact the semicon industry. In this dynamic organisation, we focus on change management while maintaining performance in our current large projects (totalling +/- 700 colleagues). These changes aim to enhance professional competence and people management, fostering creative system thinking within each competence group and creating a great workplace for our highly skilled engineers.
Your Role
Guide technical talent, support their growth, and enhance the Supervisory Control competence by continuously improving processes and ensuring the highest quality designs that shape the future of technology.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leadership: Lead a group of approximately 20-35 mechatronic engineers in conceptual design, analysis, and development of new products and innovative enhancements to existing products.
- People Management and Development: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations to nurture the growth and career development of your team.
- Competence Ownership: Take responsibility for the machine control competence, continuously improving processes and ensuring the highest quality designs.
- Knowledge Retention and Growth: Foster cumulative growth of the machine control competence, ensuring knowledge is retained and advanced.
- Roadmap Development and Quality Assurance: Build and manage technical and group roadmaps while prioritizing quality in all engineering processes to maintain high standards of operational excellence and drive projects to fruition.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with multiple engineering disciplines and co-developers to ensure timely realization of competitive, serviceable products that advance the semiconductor industry.
Your profile
We seek a technical and people-oriented manager with a hands-on mentality, capable of shaping the strategy and development of our organization at a transcendent level. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Leadership Track Record: Experience in a group leader role, managing engineers at an academic level for over five years.
- Proven Supervisory Control Experience: Expertise in asynchronous control, algorithms and state machines, logic control, interfacing, and machine behavior.
- Affinity with Motion Control: Strong understanding of motion control, (application) conditioning, software, and system architecture.
- System and Conceptual Thinker: Ability to bridge concepts into pragmatic, evolutionary steps.
- Change Agent: Effective in implementing changes from ideas to execution across the company.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with fast-paced engineering environments, and resilient to change.
- Organizational Efficiency: Skilled in organizing resources across multiple engineering facilities and projects, implementing structured processes.
